Alan is the managing director and founding partner of Mitchell Partners having started the practice back in 1992. Alan commenced his accounting journey in 1983 having received a sponsored cadetship with Deloitte’s where he worked and progressed through to a manager of the Business Services division section of Deloittes. With over 30 years’ experience in advisory services in public practice, Alan is extremely well versed in all facets of business management and advice and has been the trusted advisor providing strategies and solutions to clients of the firm over this time.
Alan’s experience includes business management and advice, advice on business structures, business restructures, business sales, business purchases, capital gains tax small business tax concessions, trusts, tax minimisation strategies and self-managed superannuation funds. More recently under Alan’s guidance the firm has developed and successfully implemented “Virtual CFO” roles for many of its clients providing ongoing management guidance, advice and corporate governance to directors, management and business owners designing tailored management & KPI reporting as well as three way forecasting (profit & loss + cash flow + balance sheet). In addition, Alan has been actively involved over the years in tax planning strategies as well as asset protection, succession planning, wealth growth and retirement planning.
